Arthur R. Tan, Guest Panelist at the Eric Miscoll Show
June 3, Quezon City, Philippines. Arthur R. Tan, chief executive officer and president of Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. (IMI) was one of the guest panelists at the Eric Miscoll Show (EMS) episode this morning, a virtual EMS industry talk show held every two weeks. It was an in-depth and thoughtful discussion that covered relevant topics such as business continuity plans, supply chain disruptions, the need for more automation and “sensor” side in manufacturing, of mobility without dependence on a human being to drive, among others, after this prolonged and unprecedented shutdown.
“The regionalization of our manufacturing footprint has become more important now than a globalized footprint,” said Tan during the show, on adapting to the ongoing paradigm shifts that continue to take place on a global basis.
During the virtual webinar, Eric Miscoll, publisher of EMS Now and Philip Stoten, a technologist and journalist led the lively exchange of insights. The other guest panelist was Howell Wang, founder and CEO of Insight Solutions, a company that helps global brands to create manufacturing and supply chain solutions. In this episode, resilience, agility, the reshaping & diversification of the supply chain as well as regionalization of manufacturing footprint were the buzz words.
The show will be posted at EMS Now on June 8, Monday.
