The Best and Brightest at CES 2024
The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) held in Las Vegas every year is a veritable wonderland of the most exciting technological innovations coming our way. CES 2024 was no exception.
CES 2024 was bigger than the events of the previous year, covering 2.5 million square feet of exhibits from over four thousand exhibitors both new and established in the tech community, more than half of which are Fortune 500 companies. Visitors from more than 150 countries were treated to the latest from content creators and media brands, and over 250 conference sessions from a thousand different speakers. This year’s theme was “ALL ON”, and focused on the future of AI, accessibility, mobility, digital health, and consumer electronics.

Artificial Intelligence at the CES 2024 Centerstage
Generative AI’s impact on global markets was front and center at CES 2024. Three featured sessions tackled hot-button topics such as hardware for AI, the ethics of using AI in the academe, and how AI impacts the creative process. These panels were led by AI experts such as Lokwon Kim, CEO of DeepX; Daniela Braga, founder and CEO of Defined.AI; and Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, National Executive and Chief Negotiator of SAG-AFTRA, respectively.
The question of “what are humans left to do” in the context of advancing generative AI tools within the creative space continues to spark much discussion and debate across many creative fields. The recently concluded actors’ and writers’ strike triggered important changes in the entertainment industry, as well as a review of how AI can be effectively utilized without encroaching on human workers’ rights and opportunities. These topics were highlighted in these talks and sessions with AI experts and media advocates during CES 2024.
AI’s transformative potential across the entertainment industry, the academe, and various other industries was one of CES 2024’s most anticipated showcases.
Mobility Trends At CES 2024
All things EV, automotive, and transportation were also key highlights in this year’s CES. Among the participating exhibitors were titan OEMs such as Honda, BMW, Hyundai, Kia, and Mercedes.
In focus was the EV ecosystem and smart city infrastructure supporting EVs and automated mobility. Boasting the latest in vehicle safety devices, automated vehicles, assistive mobility, micro-mobility, drones, sensors, and flying cars, exhibitors wowed the public with prototypes and amazing vehicle concepts.
Digital Health was at the Heart of CES 2024
Accessibility, warm technology, wearables, and tools that make life easier and treatment more affordable were at the heart of the trade show.
Business mogul Mark Cuban announced at the CES Health Summit a new partnership for his company Cost Plus Drug, as well as advocating for AI in the health policy space. As a believer and advocate of AI, Mark Cuban urged health companies to utilize AI tools and emphasized that companies that are slow to adapt may be in danger of being left behind.
Some of the most exciting exhibits featured cutting-edge wearables, smart pillows that prevent snoring, smart beds that address sleep problems, the world’s first leadless dual chamber pacemaker, and an AI-powered belt that helps the visually impaired to navigate their environment independently.
Gaming, E-Sports, and Content at CES 2024
Tech heads might have drooled over the most jaw-dropping new video game consoles, controllers, and other gaming accessories featured at CES 2024. Cutting-edge designs feature broader inclusivity across future products. The trade show highlighted how far gaming and e-sports have come from catering to niche markets to global ones, reaching across multiple demographics. Today, gaming and e-sports have become major industries, and have evolved into online social platforms that dictate trends, impacting multiple markets.
Media trends and media marketing were also in the spotlight at the event. Major content providers, video game companies, and streaming platforms such as Netflix, Bandai Namco, Samsung, and Meta participated in exhibits that celebrated the convergence of gaming, entertainment, and e-sports.
