Students from BYU-Hawaii Completed an Online On-Campus Internship Program with IMI PH
Students of Brigham Young University-Hawaii (winter semester 2022-2023) recently completed an online on-campus internship program with IMI Philippines. The project was a continuation of a similar project on Automation of Competency Dictionary and Assessment Form Database with an earlier batch of students from the same university.
The interns came up with a database system that stores the competency dictionary and forms that can result to a faster processing of competency assessment requests. It aims to support the Human Resources department in monitoring the employees’ training development using a web-based interface system.
The full development of the application is in progress with further work in terms of design and functionalities of the system.
The team is composed of students from BYU-Hawaii (Left to right) HeeJun Choi, Jiyul Seung, Caroline James, James Mason (Career Service Supervisor), Naomi Lameg, Hoyoung Kim, Wei Cheng Chao.
Overall, the team performed well given the limited resources and time. The team from IMI is composed of Gaylirose Adame, Mary Molinar, Norman Paca, Steph Lloren, Chin Sam Go, DJ Baclay, Roselle Caringal, Sherwin Nones and Ronald Hilaria.
IMI will always be relevant, if not on the leading edge of the next big thing.
