IMI’s ATC Lab is granted Certificate of Authority to Operate by the Regulatory Board
Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc’s Analytical Testing and Calibration (ATC) Laboratory recently received its first Certificate of Authority to Operate (CATO) for its chemical laboratory under Failure Analysis section. The certification was granted by the Professional Regulatory Board of Chemistry.
The recognition was officially announced during the 6th National Conference of Chemical Laboratories held last November 14 to 16, 2022.
Recipients of such certification are allowed to legally operate in the Philippines for being fully compliant with the requirements of Republic Act 10657 or the Chemistry Professional Act / Chemistry Law. It is a law that integrates hazard pay, the health and safety of professionals, the overall welfare of practitioners, laboratory chemical waste management, as well as the environmental management & protection.
ATC Lab was awarded the certificate last 20th of September 2022 and now counts among the 378 certified chemical laboratories in the country. Such achievement is in support of IMI’s efforts to achieve sustainable development goals as the company continues to incorporate green chemistry and safety in its operations to meet the needs of all stakeholders while protecting, sustaining, and continuously enhancing the human and natural resources.
IMI will always be relevant, if not on the leading edge of the next big thing.
