January 9, 2013, Laguna, Philippines – Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. (IMI) will be exhibiting at the Internepcon Japan trade show on January 16 to 18, 2013, in Tokyo, Japan– Stand 44-32 in East Hall 5 of Tokyo Big Sight.   At Internepcon Japan 2013, touted as “Asia’s largest exhibition for electronics manufacturing and SMT (surface mount technology)”, IMI will be highlighting its innovative and flexible design-to-mass manufacturing solutions for the diverse markets of automotive, industrial, medical, telecommunication infrastructure, and renewable energy.
Arthur R. Tan, IMI president and chief executive officer, says, “Our booth will showcase products for significant emerging applications of electronics. This is aligned with our vision to be known as a company that drives innovation.”
For the automotive market, IMI will exhibit platforms for safety-related devices and IMI’s capabilities in injection molding. IMI subsidiary PSi Technologies will display power modules and power QFN (quad flat no-lead) products featuring better power management with reduced module size and space, and improved overall thermal performance.
PSi Technologies will also hold on demand demonstrations of its low-cost, high-performance LED (light-emitting diode) engine at the IMI booth. The LED engine was specifically designed for high-lumens applications for the lighting requirements of the automotive and industrial sectors. It uses copper as sole base material for conducting heat and electrical energy. PSi likewise used a proprietary lead frame design and standard semiconductor assembly processes to develop this LED engine.
Tan adds, “With our presence in Asia, North America, and Europe, we can serve Japanese original electronics equipment makers catering to either regional or international markets. We can take on their specific outsourcing needs from product conceptualization to mass manufacturing, including contract design, test system development, and advanced power semiconductor solutions.”
IMI has manufacturing sites in the Philippines, China, Singapore, the United States, Mexico, Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic
