ATC successfully hurdles ISO Reassessment Audit
March 28, 2019, Laguna, Philippines - Leading global manufacturing company Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc., or IMI, provides manufacturing solutions even beyond production which includes support and testing functions. IMI’s Analytical Testing and Calibration (ATC) laboratory successfully passed the ISO/IEC 17025 Reassessment Audit for its calibration services, as well as the second surveillance for testing conducted by the Philippine Accredited Bureau (PAB) last March 18 and 19, 2019.
ISO/IEC17025 accreditation is the single most important standard for testing and calibration laboratories around the world. Passing such audit demonstrates that the lab is technically proficient and capable of providing accurate and precise test results and calibration data including:
- Technical competence of the staff
- Traceability of measurement and calibrations to both national and international standards
- Quality assurance of test and calibration data
- Validity and appropriateness of test methods
- Maintenance of test equipment
- Appropriate handling of samples
- Quality of testing environment and sampling
Many rely on the competence of laboratories on which important decisions are made. Such accreditation enhances the public confidence on the results they provide.
For years, IMI’s ATC lab has been developing cost-effective and up-to-date failure analysis, reliability testing, and calibration services while adhering to strict quality standards.
The accrediting body Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB) is recognized internationally thru its membership to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC), Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) making the ATC Lab at par with known accredited laboratories globally.
IMI will always be relevant, if not on the leading edge of the next big thing.
